Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut set out to re-enter the everyday cultural conversation by creating something strange enough to spark debate and sharing. The brand built on their history of firsts by introducing the “world’s first” Vertical Pizza Box a deliberately absurd concept uncovered through social listening that blurred the line between real product and social experiment. Rather than explaining it, Pizza Hut let audiences who already had opinions on the subject across TikTok, Instagram and Reddit speculate, react and build the conversation themselves.

Shot entirely on phones to feel authentic and discovered in the wild, the campaign relied on smart creator partnerships and low-budget production instead of traditional advertising. The result was widespread organic engagement with people debating and sharing the idea across platforms, successfully repositioning Pizza Hut as a brand capable of creating bold culture-shaping moments without a big spend.

The campaign grabbed 2.5M+ views across 5 social posts and gained an additional 1.5M+ views via 25+ pieces of PR coverage from the likes of Creative Boom, Campaign Magazine, PR Week and more. It was also shortlisted for a Shorty Award in the ‘Single Post / Activation’ and ‘On A Shoestring’ categories.
